can anyone give a brief about surds?

surds are the integers under root which could not be simplified further. without calculator.

surds are of the form sqrt3 . sqrt7 etc The values of the sqrts are irrational. They can be manipulated like algebraic variables and follow similar rules eg sqrt 3 + 2 sqrt 3 = 3 sqrt3 sqrt 18 = sqrt9 X sqrt 2 = 3 sqrt2
