LYMPH

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lymph is the substance that flows through lymphatic system. Lymphatic system is a bypass highway for the larger molecules (like lipids and many antibodies) and many cells (particularly white blood cells). These contents of lymph come from interstitial blood fluid (ICF). Most of the contents of ICF go to the veins via venules, some of them somehow cant enter venous circulation and therefore there needs to be a alternate pathway to drain them. Lymphatic circulation provides exactly that.
