What is cloud computing?

Well I always seen it as coding in the pc, except that everything is on the cloud, in the internet, not local. Like using Windows Azure to code your DB, and programs...

lol what is your problem, is not that type of cloud, not the actual cloud, it is a metaphore of it, to say that computing is being made on the internet, in some server instead of being local...

In a few words, cloud computing happens when the apps and your stuff is 'on the air', not on your computer. The 'cloud' is the internet. You can acces you files and your programs everywhere, without the need to be on YOUR machine.

For instance, google docs is a cloud editor. You have the microsoft office equivalent on the web, and you dont need to stall nothing to use it. Its on the cloud, all you need is a internet connection and a web browser.

There is a SO based on the cloud, named ChromeOS. You should check it out so you can understand better.

This can help you more then my explanetion. Its a operacional system on the cloud, have most of the concepts.

your app stored on server but used by people,change app or develop according to use ,update is done by server itself , no need store on computer or install it ,use directly on net and ,and change it as you like ,get connected with many,
