4x+3y=-12 anyone??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is the question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i need to get points x and y

OpenStudy (slaaibak):

there are infinite amount of x and y points

OpenStudy (slaaibak):

we need another equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

choose any values for x and find out the corresponding values for y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i need to solve in order to graph

OpenStudy (slaaibak):

see it as y=-4x/3 - 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right, so if you want to graph it, choose at least 2 values of x and find the corresponding values of y. then you have two points. a straight line through the two points is your graph

OpenStudy (slaaibak):

intercepts y-axis at -4, intercepts x-axis at -3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why am I dividing by 3 and not multiplying

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so if you chose x = 0, y = -4 so (0,-4) is one point next choose y =0 , x = -3 so (-3,0) is another point. draw a straight line through these two points.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that is your graph
