simple interest + compound interest !!! HELP!

i need help with this question... my answers are all different than the textbooks :S sooo... it gives me the principle (450), annual interest rate (4.5%) , the years (10), and the compounding frequency (monthly)... i got an insanely high #... can someone show me how to calculate the amount and interest earned?
