there is an identity that we can use to solve this .(x+a)(x+b)=x^2 +(a+b)x +ab.use this
still don't get it :( how would i plug that in?

(b+5)(b+10)=6 b^2+10b+5b+50=6 b^2+15b+50=6 b^2+15b+50-6=0 b^2+15b+44=0 (b+11)(b+4)=0 b=-11 b=-4
