The sum of three consecutive integers is no less than 42. Find the integers.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Couldn't it be any three integers that add up to more than 42? Is there any other information in the problem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats it T__T

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[its 13,\ 14, \ 15\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x + x+1 + x+2 >= 42 3x + 3 >= 42 3x >= 45 x >= 15 Every integer sequence from 15 is correct.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if it will be equal to 42 then its 13, 14, 15

OpenStudy (radar):

Thats only part of it krish, the problem states no less not just equal to, the solution has to satisfy the complete conditions, william.briand also has a solution, but it too is not complete. Primarily because of an error on the third step which should read: 3x>=39 this of course solves to x=>13 this then would include both of your answers.

Dammit, a sign mistake ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=>13 u are right radar
