OpenStudy (anonymous):

if a_n is a convergent series ,then is a^2 _n always convergent? give example

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but this is not a counterexample i don't think because we are to assume that \[lim_{n\rightarrow \infty}a_n=L\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

still the answer is no, because the first series could alternate but the next one would have only positive terms. i will see if i can think up a counterexample

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ah I see where I misread the question. I will try to come up with a better example.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

i gotta practice my series .. just havent had the gumption to sit down and read it
