i need help with this problem Suppose a circle has Diameter endpoints of (-2,-4) and (1,0). find the standard form of the equation of this circle.

OpenStudy (mathteacher1729):

The center is going to be the midpoint of the given points. You can find the midoint by using the midpoint formula or... just take some graph paper, plot the two points, and find the midpoint. :) (second way is much easier, in my opinion). From there, the equation of the circle is going to be (x-bub)^2 + (y - glub)^2 = radius of circle ^2 (bub, glub) are the x and y coordinates of the center. Hope this helps.

yes thank you!
