Well, parsec is a term thats commonly used in astronomy. Its a unit of distance. It comes from the words Parallax Second, which you take the first 3 letters of Parallax and the first 2 letters of Second. Its set equal to 3.26 light-years. So, a parsec represents a distance of just over 19 trillion miles. Used to measure the distance of the Earth to the Sun, taking over 103,000 round trips to the Sun to cover the distance for one parsec.
