if you draw the altitude from a vertex and call the other two angles beta and alpha then the vertex angle will be split into 90-beta and 90-alpha. if this line is also the angle bisector then 90-beta=90-alpha which means beta=alpha so your triangle would be isosceles. I think it is always true that the two line segments are different
