Which ordered pair is a solution to this equation? -5x - 3y=25 a. -6,0 b. 0,-5 c. 0,-6 d -5,0

myininaya (myininaya):

d

OpenStudy (anonymous):

substitute and see which one of them solves the equation. for example (-6,0) means you substitute x = -6 and y=0 in the equation -5x-3y =25 LHS = -5(-6) - 3(0) = 30 which is not equal to the RHS (25). so A is not the solution. try the rest and see which one solves it.

thanks d was right
