A train, traveling at a speed of 45km/hour leaves a station at 9 a.m. Another train leaves the same station at 60 km/hour at 12 pm, what is the distance from the station where the 2 trains meet

suppose they meet at distance D.
this means that D = 45*(time for the first train)
and D = 60(time for the second train)
but time for second train is 3 hours less than time for first train
so, 45t = 60(t-3)
solve for t and find D
