okay.. you need to do it like this.. think how you can make your x free from all the coefficients.. that is -11 in our case..
you can divide the expression -11x by -11 to make it only x which has coefficient equal to one.
but since its an equation , you will have to divide it on both sides to maintain the equality.. this is again a rule of equations
so u divide both sides by -11 and you get.. -11x X [1/(-11)]= (-5/9 ) X [1/(-11)]
X represents multiplication sign.
x is the variable whose value you have to find.
dividing by -11 is same as multiplying by [1/(-11)]
