they are all pretty close to 700 so a good guess is 4*700=2800

I'm not sure, but I'd guess that you can estimate by saying that they are all close to 725 except one (which is off by about 50) \[725 + 676 + 712 + 729 \approx 725*4 - 50 = 2850\] Actual answer is 2842
