do any of you know how to differentiate radiation types...mainly gamma, beta and alpha?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

An alpha particle is a helium nucleus (2 protons, 2 neutrons, no electrons). A beta particle is an electron (or a positron according to Wikipedia). Gamma radiation is high frequency (short wavelength) electromagnetic radiation. Photons are also particles of electromagnetic energy. I'm not sure how radiation is measured.
