how to work slope intercept problems

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to find slope intercept: you'll work the problem twice; Once with x=0 (substitute 0 in the equation where x is), then you will substitute y=0. those 2 answers with give you your first coordinates. (example: (x, y)....then pick any random number to substitute again like you did the zero and work it through again and that will give you a second set of coordinates. The slope equation is the second y minus the first y dived by the second x minus the first x.
