Find the cost of framing a rectangular picture with dimensions of 6 inches by 30 inches if framing material costs $5 per foot, including matting.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

length of frame = perimeter of the picture = 2L + 2B = 2*30in + 2*6in = 60 in + 12 in = 72 inches 72 inch = 72/12 ft = 6 ft cost per ft = $5 so for 6 ft cost = $5 x 6 = $ 30
