Well, I learnt C using "C for Dummies" and "The C programming language" by Dennis Ritchie (who created the langage). Both books are fantastic! You could also check out ANSI C.

btw the books and tutorials often times teach syntax (how to write the code) and not so much with programming techniques and how to be a good programmer, that's why again i would suggest taking a class or do the MIT intro to computer science class
