In Williams' play "A Streetcar Named Desire" Blanche is compared to a moth. What does it mean? Could it mean?

OpenStudy (matthewrlee):

She's hard on wool, attracted to bright lights, and easy to smash?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Blanche tries to deceive the people around her pretending to be young and beautiful. She is compared to a moth perhaps because Moths deceive potential predators with the patterns on their wings that looks like the eyes of a larger animal. When in reality she is a delicate and vulnerable women much like a moth.

Moths are irritating but vulnerable. Metaphor. self destructive? Not read but would read/watch unless I have of course.

She flutters around in the half light. Is nervous and flighty and can't stay still.
