(x-0.5)(x-1)(x+1)(x-2i)=0
Not quite, or something is missing. You cannot have a complex root without its complex conjugate root as well. Therefore, if nothing else, the answer would be \[(x-0.5)(x-1)(x+1)(x-2i)(x+2i)\]
