A quick question to some, A never ending battle to others. Help please? Triangle DIL is a dilation image of triangle DAT. Identify the center of dilation for the figure. (View Attached Picture)

I don't know what 'center of dialation' means.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, now I do.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh okay.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The center of dialation is the point about which the image looks the same (but scaled). So in this case, the center would be the point D I believe.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

D is the center of dilation. it is the only one which remains unchanged as the triangle becomes bigger.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I understand now. Thank you both.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

np :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, had to look up the term.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I tried in my "online textbook" but nothing came up, but thanks again!

google is your friend.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which was how I figured out what you meant.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh Okay.
