what is the surface area formula?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Of what object?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

all objects haha

Surface Area of a Cube = 6 a 2 Surface Area of a Rectangular Prism = 2ab + 2bc + 2ac Surface Area of Any Prism Surface Area of a Sphere = 4 pi r 2 Surface Area of a Cylinder = 2 pi r 2 + 2 pi r h does that help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Surface Area of Any Prism = Lateral area + Area of two ends

there is no fixed formula for 3D shapes. for total surface area you just have to add the surface areas of all the sides. for example, if you have a cube with length 6cm, your total surface area would be (6*6) * 6 which would be 216 cm^2
