(x^3 - 18x^2 +95^x - 126) ÷ (x -9) x^2 + 9^x + 14 9x^2 - 9^x + 14 x^2 - 9^x + 14 x^3 -9x^2 + 14x + 126

OpenStudy (anonymous):

synthetic division?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

typo here?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

95^x maybe \[9x^2\]?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if not, then you cannot use synthetic division. just multiply and see which ones work

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[(x^3 -9x^2 + 14x + 126)(x-9)\] is out because you need \[95^x\] and also because \[126\times -9 \neq 126\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[(9x^2 - 9^x + 14)(x-9)\] is out because first term would be \[9x^3\] not \[x^3\]
