Whats the best way to independently start learning computer science/programming from the ground up with little to no experience?
How did you start using internet in the same way you learn programming.
Is there a specific topic I should begin studying?
Start learning which interests you.If you what to learn compueter science, you will have frame what cs can do.Learn which interests you that will help you to find the answer for the question.
i started by taking apart the toaster oven :)
Well start learn how to computer works, learn RAM, ROM, Bios, CPU... then learn Algoritmh and Computer Mechanic, then learn QBASIC ^^
Ok. First step>define what you want to be. There are different subjects inside computer science Second Step> Define the language that you want to learn first. The first language is hard to learn, but after it you will understand others fast. C, Cplusplus, javascript, python are recommended. Third Step> Put effort and dedication and TIME into this. Search in different pages, ask others. Read online books. Be original
Also what KorcanKanogly said, put that between second and third step
well i can'T understand peoples C, Cplusplus love... i think the best language for beginning is QBASIC...
Thanks for the answers.
http://www.youtube.com/user/MIT#g/c/4C4720A6F225E074 that is for python http://www.w3schools.com/js/default.asp This is for javascript, XML and others. also ask for books, join the programming groups in retro.openstudy {it is old but lots of people use it} and blablabla. It is up to you to decide
Please note: these video lectures ( http://www.youtube.com/user/MIT#g/c/4C4720A6F225E074) about Introduction to Computer Science & Programming with using python as start language. But not lectures about python. sorry for my english
