Alg2: I need to find the first three output values for each function and use z = 0 for the first input value. 1. f(z) = z^2 + 2i 2. f(z) = z^2 + 1 + i I have no idea how to even go about starting these problems.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for #1: im thinking 2i, 1+2i, 4+2i for 0,1,&2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for #2 its just 1+2i, 2+2i, 5+2i

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you only need to input z for 0,1,2 no?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It just says "first three output values for each function" and "0 for the first input value"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah so input 0 for 1st value, what you get afterwards is the output then repeat for 1 and 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh and for #2 its 1+i, 2+i, 5+i

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So do I use the first output as the input for the second and the output for the second as the input for the third?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

actually im not sure if that is the case my answers are wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ask someone else

Actually I think I just got confused. Dealing with "i" is difficult for me, but looking back through my text book, your first answers make sense and I understand how you got there. Thank you.
