OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):
im getting 18.66
OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):
u will multiply (x+8) with 20.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
and then what?
OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):
20(x+8) = 26x
20x + 160 = 26x
6x = 160
x = 160/6
x = 26.66
OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):
finally,
26.66 - 8
equals
18.88

the two large triangles are similar so you can equate ratius of corresponding sides
so (8+ x) / 26 = 6/8
x comes to 11.5
