Find the limit for the given function. http://www.webassign.net/cgi-bin/symimage.cgi?expr=lim_%28x-%3E0%29%20text%28%20%29%20%28sin%282%20x%29%29%2F%28sin%288%20x%29%29

0/0, well first l'hopital and you get 2*cos(2x) / 8*cos(8x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and then put in 0 and tou get 2/8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there are other ways as well

Is L'Hospital's used for mostly everything in Calc? Everyone uses it, but we haven't used it yet.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, there is a way to manipulate it knowing that lim (sin 2x)/2x=1 and 8x/sin 8x =1. Multiply by (2x)(8x)/(2x)(8x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

l'hopital is good way to settle things.. but works only by 0/0 and \[\infty /\infty\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you haven't got to L'hopital yet, you would be expected to use method I described above.

agree with chaguanas..
