There is a point P on the cable that always stays on the rotational axis. The cable traces out a curve in a vertical plane. The segment of cable between point P and its upper end lies entirely on one side of that axis and the rest of it lies on the other. Point P divides the cable into two segments, the lower and upper segments. What is the ratio of the length of the lower segment to that of the upper segment?
