Simplest way to roughly plot a line on paper is first make x equal to 0 to find the y that goes with that and then make y equal to zero to find the x that goes with that.

If x=0, 5y = -10 and y = -2 so (0,-2) is a point on the line.

If y=0, 2x = -10 and x = -5 so (-5,0) is another point on the line.

Mark the two points and join them up (check your work by calculating the slope).
