whats the Formula of th Slope?

OpenStudy (aroub):

(x1,y1)and (x2,y2) slope = y2-y1/x2-x1

slope means anticlockwise angle made with x axis.....you can have many formula to find slope... (1) if your lines has two point (x1,y1),(x2,y2) then slope of line is (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) (2) if you have any kind of equation and you have to find slope just differentiate it(if you know calculus). and put that point in expression which you got after differentiation.you get slope at that point...by using this way you can find slope of any kind of curve

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If the line has equation in the form ax+by+c=0, -(a/b) gives the slope. If it is in the form y = mx + c., m is the slope If you are given two points (x1,y1)and (x2,y2) on the line, then the slope of the line is given by the formula = y2-y1/x2-x1 If the line makes an angle 'theta' with the positive direction of the x-axis the tan(theta) gives the slope.
