Simplify: 2x(3x)^2
'X' after number 2 is X or multiply?
Letter "x" not multiplication symbol
18x^2 the answer(:
\[2x(3x)^2 = 2x(3^2x^2) = 2x(9x^2) = (2\cdot 9)(x\cdot x^2) = ?\]
I'm disappointed that so far none of the answers have been correct, or made any attempt to explain how the answers were arrived at..
I'm actually more disappointed about the latter than the former.
I'm confused
2.(3x)^2 ,2.(9x^2),=18x^2
You're confused because you're getting conflicting answers? or confused because you don't understand how the answers were found?
Confused because of that there are multiple answers, yet unsure which is "correct".
2x(9x*2) = 18x*3
You're unsure because you're not doing the work yourself and they aren't showing their work. You need to do it on your own to be sure. Otherwise anyone could give you bad info. You have to convince yourself of the right answer.
So you tell me.. What's the order you are supposed to do things in?
I've already started it, right now. Yet the "rudeness" is unnecessary and uncalled for. This is an open study, you don't have to reply to it polpak.
sorry2,the answer is 18x^3
I'm not being rude. I'm simply stating a fact.
And offering to help.
Or you can just believe what these other people have written and just guess when it comes time to take the test.
You are smart enough to do this for yourself. No reason you have to just take their word for it.
Okay, I'm not going to contuine this. I appreaciate you offering "help", but in my opinion you're taking it an extra step. As stated earlier, the "rudeness" is unnecessary.
So you aren't going to check their answer?
Yes, I'm going to check the answer.
Great. So what do you need to do first?
