Remove brackets then simplify: 3(2x+5) + 4(5+4x) Would this be: 22x + 35 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry...are you asking what it would be if you just got rid of the parentheses, or if you simplify the equation as it is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol both...bcuz it says remove "()" and THEN simplify...oh idk, this is why I dont like math.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

haha. Most books I've seen are really bad. With the parentheses it's\[6x+30+20+16x=22x+50\]Without parentheses it'd be \[6x+5+20+4x=10x+25\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry, mistake. It In the first one it isn't 30 it's 15, so 35 at the end like you had it, haha. My bad

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, where did the 30 come in? In the one w/o the parantheses, cause I see you distibuted

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OH NVM ! lol
