let me try again. in the formula A=6000(1 + 0.14/12) to the(12)(2) power, what is the length of time of the investment?

This is compound interest calculation? Usually the 12 in your formula would be the number of compounding periods per year and the (12)(2) the total number of compounding periods so the 2 would be 2 years (why have you put (12)(2) like that in brackets?)
