OpenStudy (anonymous):

if arc XY equals 120 degrees what is the radius of the circle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\theta =arc/r\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

An arc can subtend an angle at the centre. Otherwise an arc has a length. So insufficient data.....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think Nicole is saying the arc is 120.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Insufficient Data...Yeah, that's what I was thinking

OpenStudy (anonymous):

120 degrees is a third of 360 so a third of the circumference for the arc is about all you can say.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it also has a 7 ob the arc

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ob is on

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ah, OK...so then 7 is a third of the circumference which is 2 pi r and you can do it now, right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep the answer was 3.25

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That doesn't seem right, if 21 = 2 pi r then r = 21 over 2 pi = 3.342....
