soh cah toa! tan = opposite / adjacent. so tan(43) = 5/x. Solve for x.

not sure how to do it if you can't use those.
are you not supposed to use sin / cos / tan? Is this not trigonometry?
this question is in a geometry test.. so i have no idea how im supposed to do it.
you could just use the "tan" button on your calculator to figure out tan(43) = 0.9325.
then 5/0.9325 = 5.36 rounds to 5.4
