i have a finite math problem..would anyone be able to help me here?
vat
wha?
can you help me?
i can try.
ok. An automotive parts shop rebuilds carburetors, fuel pumps, and alternators. The numbers of hours to rebuild and then inspect and pack each part are shown in the following table, together with the number of hours of skilled labor available for each task. If the profit is $30 for each carburetor, $35 for each fuel pump, and $25 for each alternator, how many of each should the shop rebuild to obtain the greatest possible profit? (hours) Rebulding Inspecting & packing carborator 5 1 fuel pump 4 1 alternator 3 0.5 labor available 200 45
so a carb takes 6 hours; for 30 fp takes 5 hrs ; for 35 alt takes 3.5 hrs; for 25 is that right?
and we have 200 alloted for rebuild and 45 alotted for ip
you got any intuition into this?
well did it twice and i got the same answer, and it wasnt right
how did you go about it?
it becomes a matrix x1 x2 y1 y2 y3 5 1 1 0 0 30 4 1 0 1 0 35 3 .5 0 0 1 25 -200 -45 0 0 0 0
lol .... thats one mean looking matrix :) I got not idea how thats gonna turn out
this might help to format things in here
lol have you ever done anything like this before?
i cant recall doing anything that complicated before; but I havent taken linear yet
