OpenStudy (anonymous):

how would go about graphing this inequality. -3x+4y<-12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

solve for y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and also.... http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=-3x%2B4y%3C-12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You can use wolfram alpha online calc

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You can graph it on a TI-Nspire Calc...I don't know about anything else...Maybe TI-89

OpenStudy (anonymous):

people are so dependant one calculators ,why :|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its easy to do that by hand , and everyone should know how to

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's also an option...I'm not knocking it elecengineer....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you want to explain how to do it by hand...by all means, go ahead...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its so easy , I dont even know why you people go on about TI-89 and whatever other graphing calculators you have etc, where I live there are no such things , you cant use them in exams , besides things like this are so easy to do by hand anyway

OpenStudy (anonymous):

We live in different worlds my friend...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

maybe why the education system in america is so screwed up

OpenStudy (anonymous):

graphing calculators ? if thats not cheating then what is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do u learn if you need to go to a graphinh calculator to draw a straight line lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

change the < into an = sign and make y the subject of the formula. if you are looking at linear programming then shade the side in which the inequality applies to x and y.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-3x+4y<-12 Find value for y when x =0 y = -3 Find value for x when y=0 x =4 Plot these coordinates (0, -3) and (4, 0) Draw a hatched line betweeen and through these points and shade the earea to the right and beneath the line.
