Depends on wealthyness of the slave owners. I would say C because slave owners had atlest 20 living in the house with them at some point. Then you have to think of the others who tended to crops and animals as well.

Anyone who owned a small farm/plantation couldn't really afford slaves. I would say C, because slavery was only profitable in large operations. Source: logical thinking.
