In what ways do geologic processes affect your daily life?

There are numerous ways that Geologic Processes affect our lives. By definition a geologic process is a natural way of modifying the face of the Earth. With this we mean the processes such as withering, desertification, stratification, soil erosion, alluvion, etc. These processes can sometimes take form in natural disasters such as Tsunami and Earthquake. It is then apparent that changes in the face of the Earth can be detrimental or beneficial to us. It is in Human nature to be adaptive to these changes. Lastly I'd say that it affects our way of survival.
