Well if D=RT (D stands for distance, R stands for rate, T stands for time, so the equation is saying "Distance=Rate x Time."). They tell you that the speed is R and the time is T, so now you plug the numbers in. So you plug in 65 for R, and 5 for T, and put that back into the equation (D=RT). So now you have D=65 x 5. So now when you multiply them, you get the distance is 325. So D=325 miles
