Cloud based project will be nice,or write a tool which help deployment in cloud.

Go for Imagine Cup, Software Design, Local first, then Regional then International, it ain't easy as you step on, but it is a big learning curve in few months of design and development, of course if you think it before hand like one summer before the competition, then this could lead you to so much advantage, look it up, I tell by experience it is a nice way to see if you got what you need to work in team projects, present a solid solution, now your limits and strenghs and fortify those weakness by making them less weak.
