you roll two dice what is that the sum of the dice is less than 6 and one die shows a 2

OpenStudy (a_clan):

4/36 = 1/9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it said it was 5/9???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i mean 5/36

OpenStudy (a_clan):

Answer will be 5/36 if "the sum is less than 6 and ATLEAST one die shows 2"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (a_clan):

If it is atleast one die shows 2 then the event of (2,2) is also considered. So (1,2) (2,1) (2,2) (2,3) (3,2) are the 5 resultant outcomes. otherwise (1,2) (2,1) (2,3) (3,2) , are the 4 outcomes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah is see i guess the wording wasn't all that great thanks though
