I have seen neodymium balls in action. Are there such balls of repulsive nature available or possible. I have a bigger hollow transparent spherical ball made up of glass inside which i want to place some random number of smaller magnetic balls of repulsive nature. The balls will realign to come to equillibrium. I'll mark the final positions of the balls on the surface of the bigger transparent ball. This way, i'll try to calculate the distance between two adjacent magnetic balls for any number of balls.

Plz tell me if any general formula is available to calculate the distance between the adjacent points spread uniformly on the surface of a sphere..

So do you know what happens at equilibrium? Do the smaller objects distribute themselves uniformly within the glass sphere?
