Well, if 6 and 7/8 is in inches:
4/5 < 7/8 < 5/5 but closer to 4/5
\[6\frac{7}{8} \approx 6 \frac{4}{5} in\]

In centimeters, i think decimals may be better
6 and 7/8 is 6.875 which would round up to 7
