how many times did the decimal have to move to go from 1.0 to 0.000001? 1 0.1 2 0.01 3 0.001 4 0.0001 5 0.00001 6 0.000001

when you multiply by 10^(negative number) you move the decimal left by the magnitude of the negative number. when you multiply by 10^(positive number), you move the decimal place to the right.

B. 1* 10^-6 You have to make the number become 1. So what does that? I usually just move it over, if it has to go to the right its negative, if it has to go to the left its a positive exponent. (I hope this helps).
