For each of the following samples that were given experimental treatment, test whether these samples represent populationthat are different from the general populatiion; a, sample of 10 with a men of 44, b, sample of 1 with a mean of 48. the general populatin of individivualshas a mean of 40, a standard deviatiion of 6, and follows a normal curve. For eachsample, carry out a z test using the fice steps hypotheses testing with a two-tailed test at the .05 significance level, and make a drawing of the distributions involved. I have NO clue what this is about. Please help me. Please.

step 1: state the null/alternative hypothesis step 2: consider the statistical assumptions being made about the sample step 3: decide which test is appropriate and state the relevant test statistic T step 4: derive the distribution of the test statistic under the null hypothesis from the assumptions step 5: decide to either fail to reject the null hypothesis or reject it in favor of the alternative

sample 1: 1. null hypothesis: p value is greater than 0.05 alternative hypothesis: p value is less than 0.05 2. assumptions: the sample is independent of any other sample. sample is normally distributed.
