OpenStudy (anonymous):

-4x^3-19^2-15x-12 well, i guess you could put parantheses to seperate the terms

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

easiest way is use synthetic division to factor out a binomial (x +- c) where c is a factor of 12 if remainder is 0 then it factors try x+1: -1| -4 -19 -15 -12 _______4_____15___0____ -4 -15 0 -12 Does Not work try x+2 -2| -4 -19 -15 -12 _______8_____22___-14____ -4 -11 7 -26 Does Not work try x+3 -3| -4 -19 -15 -12 ________12___21___-18____ -4 -7 6 -30 Does Not work try x+4 -4| -4 -19 -15 -12 ________16___12___12____ -4 -3 -3 0 Works => (x+4)(-4x^2 -3x -3)
