how to find area?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

l*w=area

OpenStudy (anikate):

what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well what are you trying ot find the area of?

OpenStudy (anikate):

diameter=26mm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So area for a circle is A=\[\pi\]r^2 since the diameter is 26, divide that by 2 to get the radius. r=13 so A=\[\pi\]*169 I'm not sure if your teacher wants you to substitute 3.14 for pi but if so area would either equal pi*169 or 530.66

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The format kind of came out wrong, I was trying to say Area=pi*the radius squared
