how would i do this? Let y = f(x) be a function with domain D = [-5, 7] and range R = [-4, 8]. Find the domain D and range R for the function below. Assume f(-5) = 8 and f(7) = -4. y = -3 f(x)

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

y(-5) = -3*8 = -24 y(7) = -3*-4 = 12 Domain stays same Range= [-24,12]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

should i just multiply the range values by 3 since its a vertical strethc?
